I'm Paul.

The name and lens behind Light Drifter UK.

I believe the most compelling stories happen in the quiet spaces between the action. My practice is one of constant observation, attempting to translate those fleeting moments of light and human experience into lasting art.
For me, photography is about finding order and narrative in the beautiful chaos of life. My goal is always to create a poignant, atmospheric image, whether navigating the geometry of an urban environment or capturing solitude in the wilderness.
I am drawn to strong composition, utilising geometric shapes and lines as a foundation, and manipulating light and shadow to create depth and mood. I often turn to black and white to strip away colour, focusing the viewer entirely on the contrast and the human element within the frame. My work captures the quiet realities and diverse stories of life against the concrete wall or the mountainous skyline.
Outside of photography, you can usually find me exploring new trails as a dedicated mountain biker, always seeking that next beautiful, uncharted path.
